The property is situated on the north side of Bradley Road approximately half a mile from Stourbridge Town Centre.

The site is bounded by residential properties on Bradley Road to the south and Stourbridge Canal to the north.

Pedestrian access to the town centre is granted via an under pass at the end of Bradley Road to the south east of the site. The canal separates the site from another industrial area to the north of the site. There are buildings of historic interest in the immediate vicinity including the Bonded warehouse which is Grade II listed.

The site is situated near to a commuter bus service and the nearest railway station is situated in Stourbridge approximately 1 mile south east of the site.

The site has a frontage to Bradley Road which extends to approximately 190m (625ft). The site is vacant former industrial land situated on the edge of Stourbridge Town Centre.
Most of the buildings on site have beeen demolished and the site surface is covered with concrete slabs and demolition rubble.
The River Stour runs through the site. This accommodates approxiamtely one third of the site, in which the area between the river and Canal Street lies within Stourbridge Branch Canal (Canal Street) Conservation Area.

Development Proposal
Planning permission has been granted for the erection of 85 residential units (application No. P10/0814). The development will comprise 51 No. 1 and 2 bedroom apartments ranging from 2 storeys to 4 storeys in height and 34 No. houses. All of the apartments except for 1 block, are to be located in the northern half of the site between the River Stour and Canal Street (and within the conservation area). The existing 2 storey building within this part of the site is to be retained
The remaining apartment block is to be sited in the south eastern corner of the site.

All the proposed houses are to be located in the southern half of the site, between the river and Bradley Road. A variety of house types are proposed (detached, semi-detached and terraced) each with rear gardens.

A new bridge over the River Stour is to created to provide access to the northern half of the site along with a new pedestrian links within the site will provide access to Canal Street and Bradley Road.
